Fasha Farshad Mahjoor is the Founder and CEO of Phenomenex, Inc and Neoteryx. ==Business career== Fasha Mahjoor was born in Iran and emigrated to the UK as a child. He attended Manchester Metropolitan University to earn an undergraduate degree in architecture, and then completed his masters degree in architecture at the University of Southern California in 1980. He then formed a boutique architecture firm in Beverly Hills, California.〔 In 1982 Mahjoor left the field of architecture to found the company Phenomenex in 1982, a distributor of British-made chromatography columns. The company began making its own columns in 1984. The company also employed 477 people by 2007, and was named by the ''Wall Street Journal'' as one of the top small businesses in America in 2008. Part of the reason for this comes from Mahjoor's attempts to integrate entertainment activities and other amenities into the workplace. His efforts in this manner were profiled in the book ''Organizational Behaviour''. In 2010 Majhoor was a finalist for the Greater Los Angeles Entrepreneur of the Year sponsored by Ernst & Young.
